Our Story
From there, our love grew over food, cooking, skiing, travel, music, making drugs (pharmaceuticals), and much more. When we first moved in together, Madie really wanted to get a dog. Kevin, skeptical, convinced Madie that their first furry friend should be a cat, Valkyrie. During the pandemic, Madie decided she needed a dog and took advantage of a stir-crazy Kev, we adopted Kora.
Our shared love of shredding the gnar lead us to travel all over the world together on many ski trips to Utah, Canada, and Japan! We continued travels around the US on the friends and family wedding circuit to cities including San Diego, Atlanta, Chicago, Albuquerque, Dallas, and Longmont. Madie brought Kev to the Frey family ranch in Nebraska for a different type of culture and the total eclipse. Adventures abounded in the Colorado mountains on many skiing and car camping trips.
Throughout our relationship, Madie had been trying to convince Kevin to try out backpacking. Eventually, Kevin finally agreed to go backpacking for his first time, where he curiously planned the entire trip. After we made it up to Red Deer Lake in the Indian Peaks Wilderness area west of Boulder, Kevin dropped to his knee and asked Madie to share their lives together forever. Madie excitedly said yes, and they shared canned champagne over freeze dried delicacies, beef stroganoff and berry cobbler. Kevin has agreed to maybe go backpacking again… maybe.
